Our Story

Founded in November 2011 by Shervin Fekri and Behzad Bani, Dogme Art is a multi-disciplinary art organization which exists to promote the art that does have both spirit from the artist and impact on the society in which it is presented. Art is made in context, engages the artist, the audience and society in a dialogue.

This organization is a thinking lab that executes ‘sense making’ art projects. We promote creating art in a way that leads to development of understanding and insight through questioning the wrongs by providing reason and putting an emphasis on each person’s responsibility in making our global society better.

The whole vision and structure of this organization has gone through the processes of rethinking and re-visioning so many times since the first idea was born. First born with the name Bootta, this organization experienced functioning in different fields, working with different people and it was finally renamed as Dogme Art after the main structure was decided and new artists joined the leading group.

Our organization is headquartered in Milan, but it has been constantly getting through international networking process which led it to work with different artists from different countries. Yalın, Özge and Uğur running Dogme Music group which is based in Istanbul are just few friends of us who we work with.
